Thank you for expressing interest in our study entitled "Using a Degree of Interest Model to support Ontology Navigation". This study is being done to evaluate a new plug-in we have developed for Protégé. Please read our overview page to learn about what is involved in participating in the study.
The study is being conducted by Tricia d'Entremont, a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Victoria. The work is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Margaret-Anne Storey. You may contact Dr. Storey at (250) 472-5713 or by email . Participation in this study requires you to install the plug-in. This small tool can be downloaded by following the download link above. Instructions for installing, removing, and using the plug-in are provided in the user manual. Installation will only take a few minutes. We request that if you find this tool useful, that you use it for a period of four weeks. When you first start up Protégé, you will be prompted to give your consent for participation in this study. As a way to compensate you for any inconvenience related to your participation, you will be entered into a drawing for an iPod. The consent form contains additional information that is repeated here for your convenience.
