Minimum Requirements
- PIII or higher
- 128 MB RAM (bare minimum), 512 MB recommended
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.4.2, 1.5, or 1.6
- Protege 3.2.1 or 3.3 beta
Installation
- Download the Protégé Installer from the Protégé website, if required. The "full" version of the installer includes Jambalaya.
- Install Protégé and choose the 'Everything' or 'OWL' option during installation.
- If you didn't download Jambalaya as bundled with Protege, or you are upgrading, you will need to download the latest jambalaya zip file from the downloads section of this website.
- Extract all files from jambalaya zip file to Protégé's plugins folder. (For example,
C:\Program Files\Protege_3.2.1\plugins).
Running Jambalaya
- Run Protégé by clicking on the Protégé icon or selecting the program from the start menu.
- Load a project. The pizza.owl and newspaper projects are good for exploration.
- Under the Project menu, select Configure.
- In the pop-up window that appears, check the JambalayaTab box and click OK.
- A Jambalaya tab will be added to the display, to the right of the current tabs.
- Click on this tab to start running the Jambalaya program.
